What a brilliant evening! I was incredibly proud to be nominated for Coach of the Year at the Dorset High Performance Awards. A huge thank you to Dorset Spotlight and Bournemouth University for hosting such a fantastic event. It was a true celebration of the incredible talent in our town, and I’m both humbled and grateful to have been part of it.
Bournemouth should be immensely proud of this initiative. We have so many inspiring individuals—world-class athletes, Olympians, Team GB stars, boxing champions, Paralympic heroes, and more who are shining examples for the youth of today and the champions of tomorrow. This event is exactly what our town needs to recognize and celebrate not only sporting excellence but also the values of resilience and determination that shape lives.
To be in the same room as Olympic gold medalists, world-class teams, Formula 4 racers, and so many other phenomenal achievers was both humbling and inspiring. Dorset is full of unsung heroes, and I truly hope this marks the beginning of greater recognition for those who make a difference.
